Good Monday Morning Coffee conversation everyone😊! I hope all is well. Here is another encouraging conversation to get your day and week started on the “right” foot. So if your ready then grab that yummy drink☕ and let’s get into the conversation.
“Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
look full into His wonderful face
and the things of Earth will grow strangely dim
in the light of His glorious face”.
-song by many
What is distracting you?

For today conversation I would like to discuss the beauty, awesomeness, privilege, honor, blessing, or whatever the right term that can describe why we should appreciate and choose to gaze upon Jesus. These days I have been thinking about the conversation that the world has been having. So many different topics, news reports, and social media has capture many of our gaze. Many believers have been entranced by these things which become a hinderance to our peace. So much of what has been the ongoing conversation on our screens are the driving force behind anxiety, anger, prejudice, and other negative manifestations. Even before these issues have arise we had our own private or even outward issues but when we came to Jesus we were undoubtedly grateful for our knew life but as new problems came or challenging situations came we began to look away from Jesus and wander why we started to lose the fire and joy of our salvation. Its because we simply stop looking or focusing on Jesus and in turn gave our attention to our issues.
Refocus Your Gaze!

Its time to start returning your gaze upon Jesus again. Like in my last blog post, maybe for some its time to let go of the past and for many of us we have to cast our cares upon the Lord. We can not bring about change by consistently fretting about our troubles but we can recieve all that we need in the face of Jesus. As Christians things all around you may be looking depressing but if you have the Holy Spirit in you, you are bless more than those who seemly have everything because today you have access to peace, love, joy, patience, you can access wisdom, you can embrace a life that goes beyond this world. Last week when I finally decided to stop allowing my past to interfere with my today I began to experience God’s peace and weighty presence, the Kabod. I even felt His joy. All it took was for me to decide to say no to my issues and yes to Jesus (yes it was that simple, Hallelujah!)
Let this Wake You and Shake You.

So this conversation is to help us wake up to the real issue. It’s not the news, its not your personal problems, but its your focus. What are you gazing upon? We already know from scripture that the world was going to go through really scary times so why we are acting like we are surprise. Actually for the body of Christ we should be even more aware of the beauty and goodness of our relationship with Jesus. I believe this is an amazing time for those who are putting their trust in Him because He is revealing so much to His people and the invitation to come to Him is reaching even more people.
In Conclusion.
So in conclusion, dear ones don’t let your hearts be troubled any longer. Jesus said “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world (John 16:33).” Set your gaze upon Him by quieting yourself, mediate on Him, and take some deep breathes. Our issues are not external but its our internal striving. Choose to rest in Jesus who has made us overcomers. This means that no longer does your past, financial struggles, or other stress define you and wreck havoc in your mind. Go to the Lord who will renew your mind, who will define who you really are in Him, and love on you. Let us ponder what God told to Abram before he became Abraham in Genesis 15:1, ” After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward”. God promises are to all His children. I hope after this conversation you will choose to set your gaze upon Jesus, it does not cost you anything and what you will recieve back will only make you wish that you would have did this sooner. So, remember as well, take it one day at time and stay encouraged in the Lord.
