Narrow It Down.

A new day, another opportunity! Welcome back to the Happy Gains blog with me, Kenya! I’m hoping you are all having a fantastic day. Now it’s time for some more encouragement to keep you focus and motivated to become the best version of yourself. So, grab something to drink and lets start the conversation.

Have you ever been so desperate that when any opportunity comes your way, you quickly take it without hesitation. Desperation with out clarity can cause us to take anything even when it doesn’t support our goals. When your working on your goals it’s important to move towards a place where your road becomes more narrow, so much so, that you can clearly know what opportunities to say yes to and to say no to.

Sometimes I like reading books on individuals who are entrepreneurs and have had a lot of success. I remember reading about a man who would turn down huge opportunities. One of those opportunities had a price tag at $500,000 with a private jet. There were individuals who were willing to pay him that amount of money, along with airfare by private jet, in hopes for him to speak for just two hours. Now you would think that was an amazing opportunity, but for him, he was determined to stay focused on his specific goals and so he turned down that offer without hesitation.

Sometimes it may be tempting when we’re so focus on our goals but then here comes an opportunity that just seems too good to be true, but still has nothing to do with your goals. Although it may seem good at the moment to take it, but the affects of taking it can cause us to lose that momentum or focus on our personal goals. When these tempting opportunities come our way they can rob us of our precious time that should be used on working on our goals. It’s OK to have fun but make sure that you stick to your schedule so you will not lose traction. So I encourage you to pay attention to those things that come your way and evaluate if those things are really going to help you reach your goals.

So until next time, have a wonderful week!
