5 Things to do While in a Season of Pressure!

Good Monday Morning Coffee everybody ☺️! Hope all is well with everyone! I am enjoying the nice change in the season. It’s really sunny currently. I may go on a nice walk later. So, now if you are ready, then grab that yummy drink ☕️, and let’s start the conversation.

For today’s conversation I would like to share some things with you that you can be doing in a season of pressure. Some may call it a wilderness season but I like to call it a season of pressure because thats how it feels to me, lol. So, if you feel like you are in this type of season as well then this is for you. I feel like today’s blog will be a fun and inspiring read because it has some helpful ideas to keep in mind and implement during this type of season, so starting with number one:

Spending time with the Lord

This is the most important thing you should be doing during this season but really its the most important thing to be doing periodT. Just enjoying the Lord’s Presence makes life amazing and most of the time easy. Knowing his tangible presence, casting your cares on Him, and knowing that he loves you will keep you capable of getting through times like these. Also, remember to meditate on the past times where the Lord has gotten you through other hard times as well to help you stay encouraged.

Self-Care

If you’re like me then you may have a lot of time on your hands. Sometimes we can become depress and very low during these type of seasons. I think the reason this happens is because we’re so focus on one area that we neglect other areas. Make sure you are working out, eating whole foods, drinking plenty of water, and grooming yourself. Get plenty of sleep and go outside. You need to keep your immune system up. Don’t just eat junk food without nutrients but use your money to benefit your wellbeing if possible. Start implementing a berry here and some water there. Food like eggs, sardines, sourdough bread, pears, apples, salads, dark chocolate and drinking water and green tea are ways to get some nutrition in you. So do these things to boost your mood and your immune system.

Also, take showers everyday and keep your space clean and organized. If so, you may need to declutter if you feel like you may have too much. This will also boost your mood and aid with not feeling very overwhelmed. Open your windows and let some light and fresh air in. Freshen up your home with a candle and wear your perfume whenever. Lovely smells are also good at changing your mood. Also, treat yourself with something nice. I don’t think it’s good to be so stingy with yourself especially when you’re working so hard. Money may be tight but if you can get yourself a special dessert or a nice treat for yourself that will really help you feel better.

Fellowship

Please don’t get so caught up in your feelings during these times. Make sure to spend time with your brothers and sisters. Spend time with others. This is soooo good for me because when we come together the Spirit of God is overwhelmingly good. During this time, it’s time to get out your mind. Also, we can pray for others as well as receive pray. Most of time for me, just being around the brethren is enough. I’m already drinking in the Lord’s presence🍷. When we come together we are getting refreshed and whatever else we may need, so don’t be a loner.

Work On Yourself

These seasons are great times to reflect on things that you may need to change and write down the ideas that you are getting. Some things that you can reflect on is: how are you spending your money, ways to become more resourceful, what are you listening to, and what would your ideal day look like. For me, I really want to get completely out of debt, making sure I choose quality things are important to me, listening to encouraging speakers, and writing out my ideal work week are things that I am currently doing. I really believe every season has an opportunity but we have to realize this. Time, no matter what season, is still important and precious so make the most of it.

Look at the Benefits

Now I understand many of us need a regular 9 to 5 job due to bills but we have to be for real with ourself, we are (I hope anyways) enjoying the freedom. Although driving and making deliveries in my car comes with the extra mileage, gas, and sooner to be done oil changes, I am loving the ease of just picking up orders, dropping them off, picking which one I want to do, and taking a break when I would like. I’m loving not being in a building for 8 or more hours. Sometimes we have to consider the benefits. I don’t even have to wake up super early. I remember there was a time when I was working as a nursing assistant, waking up at 4am, and driving 1 hr and 45 mins one way for 14 years and now I am enjoying ease. I may not have every thing I would like but I have freedom.

Side Note: Remember you can only do what you can do, so trust the Lord with the rest.

Monday question: Was this discussion helpful?

Remember to take it one day at a time, stay encouraged in the Lord, and remember the Lord loves you soooo much, so remember to love Him back!
