Good morning everyone! Hope everyone is well and ready for another encouraging conversation. If so, then grab something to drink and let’s begin.
Have you ever stopped to consider if you’re truly living as your authentic self, or if you’re wearing “titles” that dictate who you should be? Are you functioning from a zodiac sign description, or from biases in your culture? Are you bound by the culture that surrounds you, the color of your skin, and what others say they think you should be?
I want to invite you to take a courageous step: reassess who you really are.
The Work of Self-Discovery
This isn’t always easy, but it’s profoundly rewarding. It involves doing some crucial inner-work to figure out who you truly are deep down within. Take time to sit and reflect on what you genuinely like and dislike. Think about things people have said about you or situations that, deep down, you know you don’t agree with. More importantly, I want you to consider who the Lord God says that you really are.
You have limitless potential. You are more than what a zodiac sign that dictates who you should be. You are more than your culture or the color of your skin. You are a spiritual being in a physical body, brimming with vast potential to grow, evolve, and experience a life of true fulfillment.
Breaking Free from the “Box”
Too many people place themselves in these self-imposed boxes, using them as excuses for not changing, especially when it comes to challenging bad behaviors or pursuing personal growth. What happens to such people is heartbreakingly simple: they miss out on greater opportunities that could make their lives infinitely more fulfilling.
They settle onto these excuses like a comfy couch, opting for comfort over challenge. This allows them to avoid the difficult, often uncomfortable, work necessary to make significant progress in life. Then, inevitably, they blame everything and everyone else for not having the life they truly desire.
If you feel a bit called out by this post, I hope you’ll see it not as a criticism, but as a profound opportunity. An opportunity to get off the couch of excuses, to step out of that limiting box, and to embrace the challenging, yet incredibly worthwhile, work of discovering and becoming your authentic self. Because the work, my friend, is truly worth it. So, until next time, have a beautiful, blessed day and bye for now!
What “title” are you ready to shed today to step into who you truly are?
