So, for today’s conversation I would like to share something that I have been learning more and more to receive and run with it. What I have been embracing is that fact that I am beautiful, accepted, and loved by Jesus. For so many years I have been putting things on hold mentally and physically because I always worried if I did this or that, then I would miss my opportunity to be married. Several post ago I shared how the desire for marriage was causing me to fall into sin over and over again but after Jesus set me free, I overcame that sin. Now even though I know better, it did not take away the hope for husband. And so, some prayers and decisions I would stay away from because I thought that this would keep me from my hope to be married. But overtime I am discovering that Jesus really is capable of fulfilling me.

So, what about you? I believe there are so many who can relate. When we are not truly content in Jesus, we tend to keep things on the side. We tend to give the Lord only part of ourselves and we hold some of those that we believe will complete us, whether it may be a person or something else. But today I encourage you to be like Paul who said in Philippians 4:11, I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content, whatever the circumstances. Overall, I believe the reason why we hold back, is because of the lack of intimacy with Jesus. We really haven’t experience Him or allow Him to be our all sufficient One, but He is! But like Paul we have to learn these things and when it comes down to learning something you have to through a process. Getting to know another person takes time, you have to give them a chance to show you who they are, what they know, and their capabilities. Sometimes we miss out because our focus is still not completely on Jesus but still on that person, thing, or situation which will hinder your ability to focus on Jesus for the sake of building a relationship with just Him.

This mindset reminds me of Ananias and Sapphira who in the book of Acts chapter 5, they came to the early church pretending to be completely down with the rest of the believers who gave up everything but those two secretly kept back something for themselves. Unfortunately, they died! One of the most importance things to do in your relationship with Jesus is to be real with Him and if you truly desire just Him but you are still struggling, then just share this with Him. One of the most amazing things about Jesus is how much He loves us and understands us. Isaiah 53:3 says, He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Jesus is fully aware of what pain, rejection, and other hard situations feel like because He himself suffer through so much. He also gave us the Comforter, the Holy Spirit to be with us daily. Basically, you have all that you need to walk through this life victoriously and satisfied, but it is up to you to invest into an intimate relationship with Jesus and give yourself fully to Him.

So, in conclusion, don’t allow yourself to withhold yourself in any measure from the Lord for those maybes or those if only I had (blank) because you don’t know the future. We are only promise the day that we are living in, so why not use this day to fully give ourselves to Jesus. All it takes is a decision to say Jesus no matter what happens I am fully yours and I hold back nothing. Some years ago, the Lord called me beautiful to my spirit. Of course, I was shocked but after that I knew I did not need man or woman to tell me the same. My relationship with Jesus continually shows me that I am accepted, loved, and well taken care of. These are truths that are setting me free and helping me to go forward unshackled by fear because I trust that the Father is fully aware of my needs and my wants but mostly importantly, I love Him, and I really want my relationship with Him to be based off of pure motives. I want to live my life knowing that I did not hold anything back form the Jesus. I hope this will set anyone free with those mental and physical shackles so you can have a fuller beautiful relationship with Jesus, God bless you all! So, remember, take it one day at a time and stay encouraged in the Lord!
