Reflecting.

So, for today’s conversation I would like to discuss desiring more in Christ. Today’s conversation is very dear to me because it is a reflection of my spiritual walk with the Lord. Since 2004 I have been on a spiritual journey. Christianity has been apart of most of my life. I always want more of the Lord and for Him to use me. After attending a church for serval years I felt that it was time for me to leave. I started to realize something was not right and so I left because I wanted to really be the church of the Book of Acts. Before I left though, it took me three years to share with my close friend and sister in Christ how I was feeling but finally I decide I am going to have to trust God and believe if I am taking the wrong steps He would redirect me. Today I really believe the Lord was the one who was leading.

The journey to the place of rest.

Along the journey I have listened to many different ministers of the word of God and they have helped me so much in many different ways, Praise God! Finally I was able to contact two wonderful people that I am so grateful to have been able to speak to and who God used to bless my life which eventually lead me to go to an amazing revival. So for today’s conversation it is based on the truth that there is more for the children of God. Many in the faith of Christianity are so focus on a work based faith that they never really enter into the rest of God. There is a lot of striving, operating in the flesh, heeding to seducing spirits, and preaching doctrines of devils but there is no real manifestations of the Holy Spirit in many of the lives of my fellow brothers and sisters. I think the reason why is because we either don’t really believe or understand that Jesus really means what He said, or we are fearful to question what the modern day church is doing, or we are to comfortable (lukewarm). Either reason, I want to tell you that the scriptures are true and you can experience more in the Lord.

The New Wine.

Years ago when the Lord started leading me on this road that I am on now I would look at the scriptures and would think that there has to be more. I would think that the scriptures are deeper than just taking them as a daily devotion and guess what they are. When Jesus did His first miracle of turning water into wine (Oh My) it was to me prophetic of what He came to do. When reading about the fruit of the Spirit and when we have God’s Spirit in us we should be manifesting love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). These things go beyond words, they should also be our experience. There is an Man of God name Dustin that has helped me and so many others by God’s grace to really experience the Kingdom of God and here is his YouTube channel if your interested: street ministries seven.

So Inconclusion.

So in closing, there is so much more that I would like to try to share but first I would like you to answer a few questions. Are satisfied with your relationship with God? Have you been feeling like there is more? Do you want to experience what the first church did? First let me reply that if you have answered yes then it is okay and it is good. Don’t be like me who kept silent and waited for 3 years until I decide to take the path that leads to more in Christ. Don’t deny yourself of what God wants to give and reveal to you because you are worried about what others may think or you may be go in the wrong direction. When I decide to finally go forward I kept in mind that God knows my heart and if I am wrong He is faithful to redirect me and He will do the same for you, for He is the Good Shepard. Side note: if you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. If you have not recieve God’s forgiveness for your sins by excepting Jesus and you want to, then cry out to God now. The Bible tells us if you want to be saved then repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins and you will recieve the gift of the Holy Spirit (Act 2:38). Also the scriptures says if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved (Roman 10:9). God wants to reveal Himself and His love to us through His Son Jesus Christ. “For God so loved the world that he gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). Either way in both cases, whether you are a follower of Jesus Christ or not, there is still more. And in both cases you have to walk by faith. So until next time I hope you will chose and continue in the Lord and remember, take it one day at a time and stay encouraged in the Lord!
