Good Monday Morning Coffee lovely people☺️! I hope everyone is doing great this Monday. Let me welcome you to another new week, a new day, and another encouraging conversation. So grab your favorite drink ☕️and lets get into it!
So, for today’s conversation I want to discuss something that can to my mind this past weekend. You know there is a lot of people conveying or promoting what they believe. When I catch a bit of the news, there is always another new report being push out. These reports are on celebrities, local issues, governmental problems, spirituality, and so forth like TikTok and IG. Many times when I hear these things that has been over played I feel like all this is, is Satan distracting us from really what matters. To me it is propaganda in which Satan wants us to unconsciously come in agreement with the kingdom of darkness. Let me explain what I mean.
The more we become invested in the world’s topic and then promote it by mouth we are becoming more distracted to what God is actually doing. Proverbs 18:21 says “death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit”. We are not only humans walking on this planet but we are spirit. So whatever we are putting into the atmosphere will eventually come to an existence. Satan is very crafty and he knows this as well. It like Satan is fighting for your powerful voice so that his agenda can come forth. I believe this is why the news and social media cannot be your main source of information. Instead we have to make our pray closets news report, receiving from the Holy Spirit what really is going on.
Especially as followers of Jesus we should be mindful of what we are proclaiming in the air, over others, and over ourselves. As we know, demeaning words spoken over people no matter the age can have negative effects on the mind of these people. In Numbers 22, there was the king named Balak who wanted a prophet named Balaam to curse the people of God because he seen how mighty they were in number and how it would be difficult to defeat them. Also he said these words , “for I know that he whom you blessed is blessed and whom you curse is cursed”. He knew how powerful words were and they still are. Just like God uses people to accomplish His will, the devil also uses people to bring forth is will as well. I remember when Covid hit this nation and became the main topic. So many people were fearful, stress out, suicidal, and some even took their on lives. Also now with movements like Black lives matter, LGBT, Abortions and so forth, lot of devision in our nation has been the result. There is so many different movements being lifted up but the fruit that they mainly produce is hatred and division. So at the end of the day we need to look at the motives behind these movements and news reports. We need to look at the fruit that is being produced as well before we get all caught up or invested them as well.
So to conclude, I think this topic is very important to contemplate. Let us not forget that there is still a spiritual war going on. Although you may be doing well in the natural be careful to still have the Armor of God on, be vigilant and sober, and protect your precious relationship with the Lord by spending time with Him. So with that, remember to take it one day at a time and stay encouraged in the Lord.
Side note: I am not saying to not be aware of the world around us by not ever looking at the news. By all means that is your business but as creatures who are easily influenced you should be careful with what you repeat because you are a powerful being.
