Good Monday Morning Coffee beautiful people☺️! Hi y’all! I hope all is well with everyone! So as usual let me welcome everyone to a new week, new day, and a new encouraging conversation! So if your ready, then grab that cozy drink☕️, and let’s get into the conversation.

So for today’s conversation I would like to share why we should keep in mind that it is not as important on how you start but rather on how you finish. In the book of Matthew chapter 24:1- 14, Jesus is explaining what the signs of the end times will look like. Verse 13 says that, “But the one who endures to the end will be saved”. This verse will be the back drop for our conversation.

As we continue to go forward in our journey’s with Jesus and receive revelation, experience spiritual encounters from God, and move in the power of the Holy Ghost we need to from time to time examine ourselves. Truly there are many who have come to the faith and have been used by God in mighty ways but unfortunately they thought themselves more highly than they should. They forgot that the anointing did not originate from them but it was always from God who is working through them. Thus they like Satan become prideful too. Thank God for His grace and mercy, which when we do realize that this has become us, we can repent (stop the sinful behavior and turn around) and return to Jesus.

We all want to feel special. I think most Christian are always wondering what thier calling is and desire to be used greatly by God. Of course there is nothing wrong with this but when this becomes our only focus then we are leaving an opening for the enemy to get into and use this desire to provoke pride in us. This is why forming intimacy with Jesus has to be our number one desire. When our focus is on Him then we are rightly anchored and we will not easily drift away by everything else.

Now let’s discuss more on self reflection. 2 Corinthian 13:5 says, “Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? unless indeed you fail to meet the test”. In 2 Peter 1:10-11 says, Therefore, brothers, be all more diligent to confirm your calling and election, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall”. Now I am not sharing these scriptures to suggest that we are should all be the picture of perfection. No, what I am trying to convey is we need to make sure that we are still striving for holiness. There are many who are unbalance. They think that since we are under grace, they are free to do whatever they want to do including sinning and then there are those who think that dressing a certain way, reading only the KJV bible, and keeping the law is the way to salvation. Both sides have forgotten that God told Samuel He does not look at the outward appearance but the heart of the person (1 Samuel 16:7). So it is not just about looking at how you are carrying yourself but it is about looking at the motives behind what you are saying and doing.

So to conclude, I just want to bring this reminder up that we have to examine ourselves. We have make sure that we are not falling for the trap of Satan, which is pride. We have to make sure we are evaluating if the Lord really is Lord our hearts. Also we have to make sure that we are not unbalanced, make sure that your are allowing the word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth. Another important point that we as followers of Jesus should be practicing is to make sure that we are in fellowship with other followers of Christ. In Proverbs 12:15 it says, “The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise”. I think this is such a safe guard that the Lord designed for us in order to help encourage us to continue on the narrow path. I have been so blessed and encouraged when I would allow myself to be vulnerable while sharing personal information with others. I encourage you as well reader to allow yourself to be vulnerable because you will experience breakthrough. Above all, the most important thing you have to do is spend time with Jesus just for the sake of spending time with Him. He is everything and once He has your heart everything else will fall into place. When we are determine to seek just His face, we will experience peace, joy, contentment, pleasure, and so much more. So many times we think that if we have this or get that then will be “good” but it is a lie. Only Jesus can truly satisfy. Let us be those who endure to the end, let us be neither be cold or lukewarm but hot and zealous for Jesus. Continue to stand strong for righteousness! So remember, take it one day at a time and stay encouraged in the Lord!
