The Do’s and Don’ts.

For the next few weeks I would like for us to look at the lives of two individuals in the bible. These two individuals are King Saul and King David. The reason why I would like to do a series on these individuals is because there are definitely some contrasts between the two that we can learn so much from. So I decide that the title of this series will be called the “Do’s and the Don’ts”.

I have found the life of David to be so inspiring. Just the fact that his heart was so special to God is amazing and should not be ignored. How he made is choices and the reverence that he gave to his enemy out of reverence to God is something that we should take note of. Also the fact that we have two different Kings with two different heart postures is helpful to understand what not to do and what to do.

We will be discussing the following:

Intimacy and Trust

Partnering With God.

A Audience of One versus a People Pleaser.

A Repented Heart

The account of David are so encouraging and his life shows the the type of heart towards God that reveals the type of heart we too should also have as well. Also, we can learn from the life of Saul while examining our own hearts and behaviors. So, I hope you will join me for the next coming Mondays as we dive into this new series.

So, remember to take it one day at a time, stay encouraged in the Lord, and remember that God loves you soooo much, so remember to love Him back!
