Your Blessed!

In today’s conversation I would like to discuss how we should continue to be productive and grateful while we are waiting in the wilderness season. Like I mention earlier in my blogs before, I am currently in a wilderness season. There are times where my emotions would feel like a roller coaster which was very hard to deal with at moments but now I feel more stable because I finally came to a point where I understand that this season really is a blessing and opportunity from God. Perhaps someone may be thinking “well how can this be a blessing and an opportunity when my life feels unstable or out of control”? Well if we look at the lives of those who have gone through the wilderness whether it was 40 years, 40 days, or some sort of longsuffering for an extended period of time, these people were chosen by God. A couple weeks ago I finally understood that it is indeed a blessing and opportunity for God to choose you to be someone that He wants to work on. Like Israel, the chosen people of God, they were delivered from Egypt to become God’s special people in the earth. Through Israel God would reveal Himself in mighty ways to the rest of the world. To me that is something to not take lightly.

Transformation!

So now with that mention we should embrace this season instead running from it. Just how God worked with Israel, God is working with us. There are some things that we have to get rid of. God wants to change the way we think, trust Him, and learn to obey His voice. I remember a Youtuber saying that she , the old man, died in the wilderness and I believe that is the purpose of the wilderness as well as transformation. Like Jesus who fasted for forty days and forty nights, when he finished the fast and overcame Satan’s temptation He was filled with the Holy Spirit without measure. He was full of God’s power. Also God needed Israel’s old way of thinking to die before they could enter into the promise land. Unfortuately they were a sniff neck people who were sentence to a 40 year wilderness season because of unbelief. God Had so many wonderful blessing in store for them and if they would have submitted the first generation would have enjoyed those blessings too. So are you submitting or are you being stiff neck?

Obedience!

I hope your answer is a yes or has change to a yes. Allow God to remove to those things that are weighing you down in this season so you can enter into the promise land refreshed and focus. Focus on those things that God is telling you to do and do them quickly. It is important to remember that God’s ways are not our ways and God’s timing is not our timing. Unfortunately we can act foolishly because we may be slow to obey God but we are only hurting ourselves. One thing that I am being purposeful about is doing what God’s says quickly. I do not want to delay on any of His instructions because God is using these things to grow me and prepare me for the next season. During this season I have recieve so many ideas from God and I am doing my best to work on them all because I don’t want to miss out on anything God wants to give me. Maybe God has told you to fast, to pray more, to write a book, start a T-shirt business, created a particular website, and the list can go on. The important thing for you to do is to start. I have learned that faith is involved in everything. If your reason for not wanting to start is because you are worried about the end result just trust God for second step, the third step, and so on because we are relying on God’s help.

Conclusion!

So in conclusion, be mindful that God has chosen you. Consider David who was anointed king in his youth and was known as a man after God’s own heart. This same man had to go through a long season of running from his enemies and hiding out in caves. Even though it was a long and intense season for him, eventually David became king . At times the wilderness can feel confusing and unbearable but God wants the old man to die in you. He needs to build a certain type of character in you because He does not want you lose what He will give to you. Obedience is imperative for your development. Keep in mind that this is a blessing and opportunity that is not giving to everyone. So, remember take it one day at a time and stay encouraged in the Lord!
